Deduction of LIC through SPARK (Aided Institutions)

LIC premia of state Government employees are deducted by the Drawing and Disbursing Officers concerned from the monthly salary and details of deduction forwarded to LIC office in electronic data format. In the case of staff working under Government Aided institutions, this has not been made compulsory. The Government have examined the matter in detail and are pleased to accord sanction to Drawing and Disbursing Officers of Government Aided Institutions to deduct the LIC premia of their employees through SPARK as being done in the case of employees in other Government offices under KGSD scheme.
